Evelyn's Challenge!!!

Last week I went to Evelyn's funeral. She's the baby daughter of some friends at church who had some serious heart problems. (see my post here about her) Even though she only lived for twelve days, she touched the hearts of many people. And as her mom put it, "she has impacted more people than many do in their entire lifetime". It was inspiring to see the faith of her parents-believing for her healing and trusting God with their whole hearts...allowing God to accomplish His plan for her life...and worshipping the Lord at her funeral with lifted hands. It really showed me what a sacrifice of praise really looks like. Their faith has not wavered-even when the outcome did not turn out their way. My life will never be the same because of this sweet baby and her parents' example. I am challenged to not live a lukewarm Christian life, to hit the mark that God has for me, and to accomplish the purposes that He has for me!!! Join me in the challenge to accomplish as much for the Lord in our lives as Evelyn did in her short life on this earth...also be challenged to get right with the Lord, to receive His amazing gift of forgiveness, freedom from sin and eternal life-ask Him into your hearts today to be your LORD and Savior...it will be the greatest thing you will ever do-trust me-it was the greatest thing I have ever done! You can read more about Evelyn's challenge and a sweet letter to Evelyn from her Mommy here at Wholehearted. Be prepared to cry!!!

Thanks for passing this info along to me, I visited their site. Wow those photos brought back memories...good and bad. I to was touched by their faith in the lord.....to many times people become bitter when things don't work out how we wish they would. But they were full of hope, faith and Gratitude....what a wonderful family!
